Using Wikipedia to support teaching and research.
The Chronicle of Higher Education shared this brief story and audio clip (~18 min) from Wikipedia's co-founder, Jimmy Wales, in which he addresses just how he sees Wikipedia being used in teaching and research. Given that informally so many people believe that using Wikipedia is an academic no-no or believe that many others think that, it's interesting to hear his point of view.

He made a very good point about "teacing media confidence". Since there are enormously broad sources, we need skills of how to judge quality of those sources. Instructing standard and policy of Wikipedia and what kind scources Wikipedia expects is necessary, so that students may engage into Wikipedia in useful way.
